Besides the Goryokaku Tower, the members of the All-Japan Tower Association include Sapporo TV Tower, Tokyo Tower, and Tsutenkaku, totaling 19 observation towers and sightseeing towers nationwide. The Observation Day, which falls on October 1st, was created from the Japanese word “tenbou,” which means “observation” in English. The beginning sound of “tenbou” is ten, representing the tenth month, and “bou” sounds like “stick” in English, which resembles the number “1.”

Only on Thursday, October 1, the first 101 visitors who purchased an observation ticket will receive a free original product by the All-Japan Tower Association.

In addition, on a day before the Observation Day on Wednesday, September 30, the LED strip lights set up on the corners of the Goryokaku Tower Observation Deck will be lit in red color for one day only to celebrate the Observation Day.
