Sports Day: Stair Climbing Challenge☆ 〔Ended〕
The second Monday in October is Sports Day.
Sports Day is a public holiday set aside to get familiar with sports to foster a sound mind and body.
Goryokaku Tower holds an event titled “Sports Day: Stair Climbing Challenge” by using the emergency stairs not usually open to the public.
Participants from elementary school students to the elderly are invited to enjoy climbing up the emergency stairs that lead to the observation deck, which are normally not open to the public.
There are 451 steps in the emergency stairs from the first level to the second level of the observation deck (90-meter above ground, which is the height of about 30 stories.)
Because the stairs are steep, it is dangerous if you run at full speed or compete for time. Please be careful when climbing up the stairs.
In addition, since there is no window or air conditioning system inside the emergency stairs, please be mindful of the risk of heatstroke.
All participants will receive a Certification of the Completion of the Stair Climbing Challenge (with a certification number) authorized by the official mascot of the Goryokaku Tower, Gota-kun, and an original tin badge.
We look forward to your participation.
