Large koi-nobori windsocks are set up at the Goryokaku Tower. 〔Ended〕

Large koi-nobori windsocks are set up at the Goryokaku Tower.

May 5th is Children’s Day, a day set aside to wish for the happiness of children.
On Children’s Day, it is customary to decorate koi-nobori windsocks outside the house. Goryokaku Tower sets up large koi-nobori windsocks at the Tower during the season.
Started more than 30 years ago, koi-nobori windsocks begin swimming as a seasonal tradition again this year. Come watch our nearly 12-meter-long koi-nobori windsocks swimming pleasantly in the sky about 70 meters from the ground.

In addition, maguro-nobori windsocks (10-meter long and three-meter in diameter) created by a city revitalization group from Oma, Aomori, called Aozora-gumi, will swim alongside the koi-nobori to enliven the country. Their maguro-nobori windsocks were created to wish for Japan’s recovery from the Great East Japan Earthquake. (Starting from Saturday, April 24.)

*Please note that the event is subject to cancellation due to weather conditions, such as heavy rain and strong winds.
